Our founder

Pat Beichler

  1. 2009 - Land for the farm was obtain from Dr. Bill Greenwood.
  2. 2010 -Land was cleared. Lumber was milled, Barns and buildings were constructed.
  3. 2012 -The Wacky Shack is constructed and is the anchor of the Artisan Village.
  4. 2013 - The first trees in the orchard were planted including peach, olive, fig, persimmon and apples.
     

Foundation History

Pat is the visionary behind the Daufuskie Artisan Village and Community Farm. She had an idea and turned it into a reality that is supported and enjoyed by many on the island and beyond.

The Daufuskie Community Farm and Artisan Village is staffed 100% with volunteers. You too can help out and make a difference today.

recent updates

The spring/summer garden has been planted, as well as a new pasture area. Baby goats, hens and geese are all on their way to the farm.
