Pat is the visionary behind the
Daufuskie Community Farm & Artisan Village. She had an idea and turned it into a reality that is supported and enjoyed by many on the island and beyond.
2009 - Land for the farm was obtained from Dr. Bill Greenwood.
2010 - Land was cleared, lumber milled, and barns & buildings were constructed.
2012 - The Wacky Shack is constructed and is the anchor of the Artisan Village.
2014 - The first trees in the orchard were planted including peach, olive, fig, persimmon & apple.
We encourage groups to visit for hands on learning.
School groups and 4-H clubs can schedule a trip to the community farm to learn about sustainable farming through hands on demonstrations.
Groups or individuals may also perform community service by helping in all areas of the farm, garden, orchard and artisan village.
